Hello family and Friends!
This week was a great learning week for me! (every week is a great learning week). But there was a returned missionary that came home. His name is Juan Sebastian. He served his mission in England. Immediately when he got home he got in contact with us and told us that he wanted to come live with us. That would of been sick, but sadly members can't live with us. This Tuesday we went contacting with Juan almost the entire day. I learned a lot from him by how he communicated with people and how he showed his love for them after only knowing them for 2 mins! He's been with us to almost every teaching appointment that we set this week.
Another highlight from the week was having a family night with Nelfi and Juana (Mother and the daughter from the Galeano Sanchez Family). This family has been going through a lot of family struggles lately with the father, William. He's such a great guy, but there are things that he does that aren't very good. During the family night, we watched a video on the importance of families. This broke both of them down into tears as they truly desire a family with a gospel built foundation. What they really want is a better relationship with William. We promised them that if they would continue on this path and be baptized that their examples would change William. Slowly but surely, he will start to desire the same happiness that his wife and daughter are feeling. I just hope things don't get worse before that happens. Things in life always get a little difficult when we decide to start following God and keep his commandments. It's during those times that we need to pray more than we've ever prayed in our lives. We need to study and ponder the scriptures, and we need to continually keep our desire to faithfully attend our church meetings. The lord will bless you for doing this!
Love you all and hope that you all have a great week!
Love, Elder Horton
